Only 27,000 engg seats filled in round one

BHOPAL: Directorate of technical education has allotted seats to 27,492 candidates, out of total intake of 89,903 for under graduation engineering courses. The first phase of allotment is over and officials said, seats in all 15 government-run colleges and university teaching departments and seven prime private institutes were filled through the online off campus counselling. The second round will begin from July 21. Total 32,000 candidates of JEE (mains) were registered for admissions, besides 8500 who got registration on the basis of qualifying exam.
