Bhopal(Madhya Pradesh): Mother of one of the men who is allegedly involved in creating groups in the name of the Islamic State (IS) on social media has dubbed all charges against her son as baseless.“My son is innocent and the investigation agency doesn’t have anything against him,” said mother of the Mohammad Anas, while talking to Free Press, here on Monday.  We do not want to discuss anything now as we have been told by the agency officials to not speak regarding the matter with the media persons, she added.

On Sunday, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had conducted searches in Bhopal and Raisen districts in a case of the activities of the terror group ISIS and seized incriminating documents and material. Similar searches were conducted in five other states besides Madhya Pradesh.

The Central agency had detained two suspects, identified as 22-year-old Mohammed Anas of Bhopal and Mohammed Jubair, a native of district Raisen, who is currently studying in Tajul Masajid.  The duo was released after the interrogation. The family of Anas runs a school in Abbas Nagar area of Bhopal. They reside in the same locality. Calling Anas innocent, his sister said that he is a scholar of Islamic studies and he teaches as well as studies.

“There seems to be some confusion, first the agency people detained my child for no cause and later left him in the afternoon. They had brought ‘something’ and we were told to follow their orders. The family followed their orders, they searched my house and the office of the school and they found nothing objectionable,” said his mother. Every day he goes to attend the classes and on the days when he doesn’t go to his classes he accompanies her to the school and does self-studies.

The principal of Madarsa Dr Arthar Habib informed that the scholar Mohammad Jubair is a bright student and he is a scholar of Arabic language. The committee members of Tajul Masajid informed that they are told not to talk to the media, their senior members had suggested to them that as the case is with the NIA and they would prefer to keep quiet on the issue till further orders.

Bhopal and Raisen districts in Madhya Pradesh, Bharuch, Surat, Navsari and Ahmedabad districts in Gujarat, Arariya district in Bihar, Bhatkal and Tumkur city districts in Karnataka, Kolhapur and Nanded districts in Maharashtra and Deoband district in Uttar Pradesh in the case pertaining to activities of ISIS.
