Manawar : Due to the sudden opening of the gates of the dam, residents of the low area localities have lost their houses and every essential they had. It may be noted that the flow of water was quite high, and hence it took all the commodities kept in the local grocery shops. It is now a question of livelihood for the flood affected people. As per the information received, leader of NBA, Megha Patkar, inspected ward numbers 8, 9, 12, 13, Durga Talkies area and other localities. She also met the flood- affected people. All the victims were complaining about the announced opening of the dam gates. As per the victims, the administration did not inform them and suddenly opened nine gates of the dam. On the other hand, water in dams constructed over Maan river, was not released and it resulted in heavy loss for the farmers, as soon as the water level rose. Under the guidance of guidance of Megha Patkar, all the victims reached SDM office and narrated their issues to the Tehsildar. The victims raised slogans. However the Tehsildar assured the victims that they shall be paid with the compensation.
