MP: One Killed, Another Critical As SUV Collides With Bike

The police have seized the four-wheeler, however, the accused driver is on the run.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Two bike-borne men, who were on their way to Sagar from Pithampur in Indore on Sunday, were knocked down by a recklessly-driven SUV vehicle in Sukhi Sewaniya on Sunday, the police said. One of them succumbed to injuries during treatment on Wednesday, while the other is said to be critical.

The police have seized the four-wheeler, however, the accused driver is on the run.

Sukhi Sewaniya police station house officer (SHO) VVS Sengar said that the deceased has been identified as Jagadeesh Patel (35), a native of Sagar. He used to work at a factory in Pithampur and used to reside along with his cousin Ram Ratan Patel (32). Both of them had left for Sagar on bike on Sunday to celebrate Dussehra with their family.

The incident happened when an SUV collided head-on with their bike and the accused driver fled the spot leaving the vehicle behind. On-lookers rushed the duo to the hospital, where Jagdeesh Patel died on Wednesday. Ram Ratan Patel is said to be in a critical condition. The police have registered a case and said a search is on to nab the accused.
