Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has started the Class 10 board exams from Thursday. The first paper was in Hindi. Over 9.53 lakh students appeared for the exam across the state. A total of 3,887 exam centres have been set up, with 103 in Bhopal.

Class 12 board exams began earlier on February 24, with Hindi as the first paper. The second exam, English, is scheduled for Friday. This year, the board has introduced several strict rules and new changes. Students and exam centres are required to follow these guidelines.

According to information, to prevent cheating, officials are closely monitoring the exams. If an answer sheet is found tampered with, it will be considered malpractice, and action will be taken. The education department is ensuring a fair and transparent examination process. Students are urged to follow the rules and maintain discipline.

A unique initiative, the Honesty Box, has been introduced at exam centres. Students can voluntarily drop any unauthorised study materials before entering. If caught with such materials inside, they will face strict action under the Exam Act.

Students reaction on the exam

After the exam, students shared mixed reactions. Some found the paper easy and finished on time, while others struggled with a few questions. The exam started at 9 AM and ended at 12 PM. Students were given a 32-page answer sheet, with no extra supplementary copies allowed. They were advised to write answers concisely.
