Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The state government has set a record of sort in terms of time for foundation-laying ceremony after a cabinet decision on a project.
The proposal for land acquisition for an energy park in Babai Mohasa was accepted in the cabinet on December 4, and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav laid the foundation of the project on Saturday. Immediately after the foundation-laying ceremony, the government received a proposal for investment of Rs 18,000 crore.
According to reports, the project will generate jobs for 24,000 youths. For setting up the project, 227 acres were initially allotted, but afterwards, the amount of land was increased to 441 acres. It was further increased to 884 acres.
Yadav also distributed letters of land allotment among 20 industrial units at the foundation-laying ceremony of the project. In these industrial units, the local youths will get employment, Yadav said, adding that the youths of the area will not migrate to another place for jobs. The one of the salient features of the park is that the financial aid provided by the Central Government is directly sent to the investors, he said.
According to PWD Minister Rakesh Singh, through the energy park, people across the world will come to know about Narmadapuram district.
Skill centres to be set up to give Jobs to youths
Chief Secretary Anurag Jain has said skill centres will be set up to create job opportunities for local youths. Such centres will be established after holding talks with the industrial houses, he said. Multi-model logistic parks will be part of these skill centres, he said, adding that one of the largest energy companies in the world is going to set up a blue energy plant.
There are four such companies as were setting up plants in other states, but now, the plants are being established in MP, he said. Solar cell, solar model and green hydrogen, pulse energy and lithium battery will be manufactured, he said.
