BHOPAL: The conflict within the ruling BJP is surfacing as the ticket distribution for assembly elections are about to be finalised. Sartaj Singh, on Wednesday, reached BJP’s state office and sought ticket from Seoni Malwa. Sartaj said that the party would give him ticket as there was no criterion of age for contesting elections in the party. He had announced not to contest elections, after his removal from the post of minister. Commenting on this issue, Sartaj said those were different conditions but now he wanted to contest elections. On the other hand, former MP Raghunandan Sharma said “Leaders, who have been MLAs for three to four times, should not contest elections and give chance to new faces. Sharma said senior MLAs should make way for the young generation leaders.”

Fearing ticket refusal, ministers Approach organisation
Several ministers, who fear ticket refusal in the upcoming assembly elections, approached state BJP office and met state president Rakesh Singh and organisational general secretary Suhas Bhagat. According to sources as far as ticket allotment is concerned minister Suryaprakash Meena and Surendra Patwa are in danger zone. They met Singh and Bhagat. Meena was accompanied by the party workers of his constituency. Meena said his ticket was sure and he did not come to state office to display his might. Forest minister Gaurishankar Shejwar too met Singh. Shejwar is keen on securing a ticket from Sanchi for his son Mudit Shejwar.
