Jabalpur : Due to a duel going on between the Zila Panchayat President and CEO, the members of the Panchayat boycotted the general assembly meeting which was organised on Friday. After the incident, all the members gathered in the chamber of president and started to prepare a strategy for future. Remarkably, Zila Panchayat president Manorama Patel and CEO Neha Maravya are involved in a clash since long time. Patel also took this matter to the minister in charge also.
Man dies in road accident
A man died when a speeding truck rammed in his bike in village Berkheda under Nasrullaganj police station. According to the sources, Ashok Gond of village Manasa was returning from Halyakhedi when a high speed truck hit him near Berkheda crushing his head.
Ashok died on the moment. It is said that the dead body was lying on the road unnoticed for at least one hour in spite of having a police station only four kilometers away from the spot. Police handed over the body to the relatives after sending it for postmortem and seized the truck involved in the mishap. Truck driver fled the scene.
