Mhow : A medical camp was organised on August 24 in Military Station, Mhow by 4/1 Gorkha Rifles under the aegis of Army War College. The camp was inaugurated by Sangeeta Bains, wife of Brig PS Bains, VSM and aimed at imparting awareness to the families of 4/1 Gorkha Rifles primarily about cervical cancer and also about various other life style diseases like hypertension and obesity. Main event of the medical camp included vaccination for cervical cancer for ladies in which vaccines were made available at very subsidised rates. 112 ladies were vaccinated by Major Pankaj Patil Ashok, Regimental Medical Officer of 4/1 Gorkha Rifles and 125 ladies were screened for various life style diseases.
Specialists from NOVARTIS HEALTH CARE & SERDIA PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANY also made their valuable contributions towards the success of the camps.
