BHOPAL: State Agriculture Marketing Board, managing director, Rakesh Shrivastava, has directed all Mandi presidents, secretaries and regional offices of the Board that crossed cheques can be accepted as Mandi fee from licensed businessmen in Mandis. It would be the responsibility of Mandi secretary to get their declaration form filled up and encashment of cheques.
Mandi fee could be paid in cash, RTGS, bank drafts, bankers cheque or account payee cheques, for the convenience of licensed businessmen in Mandi. They would be given permission letters then. As per instructions, if payment of Mandi fee is paid by licensed businessmen through crossed cheque then it would be the responsibility of Mandi secretary that he would get written declaration from licensed businessmen, along with seal and signature.
