BHOPAL: The state government has constituted a central committee for Simhastha-2016 under Madhya Bharat Simhastha Mela Act-1955. Order has been issued to constitute committee by overwriting all previous orders issued in this regard through exercise of powers given by the Act. Makhan Singh has been appointed chairman of the committee.
Its members include home minister, finance minister, panchayats and rural development minister, forest minister, PWD minister, public health, family welfare and AYUSH minister, food, civil supplies and consumer protection minister, public health engineering, parliamentary affairs, religious trusts and endowment minister, school education minister, energy, new and renewable energy and public relations minister, revenue and rehabilitation minister, women and child development minister, transport minister, MoS for GAD and urban development and administration, MoS for culture and tourism, MP Chintamani Malviya among others.
