Make all arrangements for rain-hit people: Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Bhopal: Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, in a review meeting convened to take stock of post heavy rain condition in the state on Sunday, instructed officials to be alert and make all arrangements during the next 24 hours to help rain-hit people and keep monitoring of flood situation. He was addressing a meeting with senior officials to take stock of excessive rains in the state. The meeting was informed that situation is fast returning to normalcy in the state.

Chouhan also instructed for proper survey of damage to life and property. PHE officials have been instructed to make proper arrangement of medicines, and drinking water to handle the situation at war footing. Instruction has also been given for immediate action after receiving phones in call centres.

The CM said he has intimated condition after rain of the state to Union home minister Rajnath Singh on phone. Besides, he will also inform to railway minister Suresh Prabhu and PMO through letters.

Meeting was informed that situation in Rewa and Sagar is under control and even in Bhopal, there is normalcy. In Vidisha and Raisen, water level is fast receding from colonies.

The meeting was also informed that seven people died in the last 24 hours in the state while three of them died in Rewa division. Nearly 4,000 people were shifted to safer places during rescue operation in the state.

CM’s chopper fails to land at Ratlam due to bad weather

CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union minister for rural development Narendra Singh Tomar could not attend a programme in Ratlam as helicopter could not land there due to bad weather. Ultimately, their helicopter returned to Bhopal.
