Katni (Madhya Pradesh): An error in land transfer came to light at a public hearing held by collector Dileep Kumar Yadav in Antverd village Panchayat on Thursday. Yadav heard the problems of 102 villagers and asked the officials to work their problems.
A resident of Murwari village Rajendra Pathak said the Patwari of Dhimerkheda Tehsi had transferred 1.5 acres to the names of those farmers who had two acres. Similarly, he transferred two acres to the names of those who had 1.50 acres, Pathak said.
He appealed to the revenue officials to correct the errors; else, it would lead to severe problems in the future.
The collector asked the revenue officials to set the revenue records right. A resident of Khamhariya, physically challenged Kailash Dahiya, said he wanted a tricycle.
Yadav heard the complaint and asked the officials of the social justice department to act on the demand of Dahiya on the basis of his eligibility.
A resident of Khamhariya village, Balendra Py asi and other villagers, said an employee of health department, Brihaspati Saket, encroached upon government land to build his house. The collector told the revenue officials to act against Saket within time limit.
Chief executive officer of the district Panchayat Shishir Gemawat and sub-divisional magistrate Nidhi Singh Gohal and other officials of the district were present at the meeting.
