Sehore: Member of Parliament from Bhopal, Pragya Thakur, has said that she does not consider Hemant Karkare as nationalist.

Karkare along with several policemen laid down their lives in fighting terrorists who were involved in Mumbai attack on November 26, 2008.

She said that many people might consider Karkare as patriot, but those who are actually nationalists do not treat him as flag-waver.

Pragya also came down heavily on the Congress. She said the Congressís ideology is connected to terrorism.

Whenever the party ruled the country, it imprisoned the saints and nationalists, she alleged, adding that the party is demanding the restoration of the Article 370.

In Bengal, the Congress supports the Leftists who are anti-nationals, Pragya said.

The Congress is against equality and prosperity, she said, adding that those who were imprisoned during the Emergency should tell the people about the real character of the Congress.

According to Pragya, the Congressís ideology should be destroyed.

The Congress has tried to implement its anti-national ideology in the country, but because the Prime Minister and the Home Minister supported her, nothing happened, she said.

She told media persons that as far as delimitation of Kashmir was concerned whatever would happen under the leadership of the Prime Minister would be good for the country.

The Congress could not handle the Kashmir issue, she said. Congress leader Indira Gandhi put the country under Emergency on June 25, 1975.

Reacting to Digvijaya Singhís remark on Article 370, Pragya said that it was shameful and he should tender an apology to the nation.

Pragya made the statement at a function held in Sehore town hall to honour those who were imprisoned under MISA during the Emergency. Each of them was given a shawl and a coconut.

Besides them, the family members of those MISA prisoners, who are no more, were also honoured at the function.

BJPís district president Ravi Malviya, legislator Suresh Rai and others also addressed the function.

Mandal president of the BJP Prince Rathore and others were present at the function.
