BHOPAL : The candidates fielded by the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress for Ratlam-Jhabua Loksabha bypolls submitted their nomination forms on Tuesday. The BJP has fielded Nirmala Bhuria while Congress has given ticket to Kantilal Bhuria. In-charge of the state Congress Mohan Prakash, All India Congress Committee general secretary, state Congress president Arun Yadav, senior leaders Suresh Pachouri and Ajay Singh accompanied Kantilal Bhuria during the filing of nomination on Tuesday. Talking to the media persons after filing his nomination for the prestigious contest on the significant Lok Sabha seat, Kantilal said the BJP rule in the Centre and state have increased the hardships manifolds for the common man as prices of the essential commodities are skyrocketing.
Vikrant Bhuria as independent and Kasan Singh Lalchand from Rashtriya Krantikari Samajwadi Party also filed their nominations on Tuesday.
For Dewas Assembly bypolls, Jaiprakash Shastri and Sharad Pachankur as independent candidate filed their nominations. So far, 7 nominations for Ratlam Loksabha bypolls and 4 nominations for Dewas Assembly bypolls have been filed.
As many as 11,457 licensed arms have been deposited in Ratlam constituency and Dewas Assembly seat. 589 arms have been seized. 2877 cases under various sections of the CrPC have been registered and 4093 persons have been bound over as prohibitory action.
