Bhopal: The rank and file of Bhopal police on Friday celebrated Holi. Cops from all the ranks, were seen soaked in the sirit of Holi in Nehru Nagar police ground. The festival was celebrated with the traditional fervor where cops not only danced on the tune of DJ but also played instruments, after greeting each other.
A day after discharging their duty on the festival of colours- Holi on March 21, the visibly relieved cops delved deep into the festive mood. A head constable Negi, literally mesmerised everyone with his rendition on flute. Inspector general (IG) Jaideep Prasad, collector Sudam Khade deputy inspector general (DIG) Irshaad Wali, superintendent of police (SP), additional SPs from Zone and headquarter had participated in the celebrations.
The event began on Friday at around 9 am and cops from police line, reserve force, control room and crime branch, police stations enjoyed the show. The women cops were also seen enjoying with showers of water being poured on them from the police tankers. Over 200 cops had their sweet dishes at the ground itself and the show ended at around 2 pm. The festival is celebrated as the customary ritual of department, a day after the Holi as on the day they remain busy with ensuring a safe festival for the people.
