Key accused of Rs-4.35 lakh Rachna Nagar loot held

BHOPAL : The Nishatpura police, on Thursday, nabbed the main accused wanted in the case of loot that took place in Rachna Nagar within the limits of Govindpura police station on January 28, in which Rs 4.35 lakh was looted by four persons from a businessman Murli Mohan Agrawal in broad daylight after throwing Chilli powder into his eyes.

The other three accomplice of the accused were arrested by the police on the very next day of the incident from Bhanpur Naka on the basis of CCTV footage but the mastermind of the loot was absconding. The accused had planned the loot with the help of one of the employees of the businessman.

SP South Anshuman Singh had announced a reward of Rs 5000 on the arrest of the accused. The accused was also wanted in a chain snatching incident in Nishatpura police station. Police have recovered a gold chain worth Rs 30,000 from the accused.

TI Nishatpura Rajeev Jangle said that the police had got information that the accused Raja alias Dharmendra Parihar, 22, son of Ratan Singh, resident of Coach Factory area was standing near Sagar Land on Ayodhya By-pass Road. Acting on the information, a team of cops raided the spot and arrested Parihar. During interrogation the accused confessed to having snatched a bag along with his accomplice Tinku and Sanna from another businessman after hurling chilli powder into his eyes on January 9 near Nabibagh.

He also confessed to having looted a bike from Cholla area after assaulting Kshitij Sharma. He also confessed to having committed loot in Rachna Nagar along with his accomplice Tinku, Sanna, Prathvi Singh and Rakesh Chouhan. The accused has many cases registered against him under Nishatpura, Cholla, Bajaria and Govindpura police stations.
