BHOPAL : The Junior Doctor’s Associations of all the government medical colleges have decided not to go on strike as the Government has increased their stipend to Rs 45,000, Rs 47,000 and Rs 49,000 for second, third and fourth year students respectively. The decision was taken after round of talks between the JUDA and health minister Narottam Mishra.
The decision would be implemented from the month of October. During the day, the junior doctors had many rounds of meeting to take decision on whether the doctors should go on strike after accepting seven of the twelve demands, on Tuesday. The junior doctors have considered it their victory on one day state wide strike.
The Government has announced in the media that the stipend of the junior doctors to be increased as 45,000, 47,000 and 49,000 and would be implemented from the next month. The medical education department has been asked to review the security agency work; all departments of the medical colleges have been asked to replace old machines and equipments with modern equipments and machines soon.
