BHOPAL : A 25-year-old man committed suicide by stuffing the LPG cylinder’s pipe in his mouth and tying a knot with a towel at his house in Samardha Tola within the limits of Misrod police station on Wednesday morning. He was unemployed for the past three months due to illness. Investigation officer SI GS Rajput said that the deceased has identified as Bhupendra Bhargava, 25, son of Jeewanlal, resident of Samardha Tola village within the limits of Misrod police station. The incident came to light in the morning when the neighbours gathered outside his house as foul smell of LPG was emanating from it. Despite their repeated calls when nobody opened the door they entered the house and found the man dead. The door of the house was open but a sofa was placed such that it does not open. When the neighbours entered the house they saw the mouth of the deceased was stuffed with a LPG pipe and knob of the cylinder was on. The pipe was tied with the help of a towel.
SI Rajput said that the deceased Bhupendra lived alone in the house and has not left a suicide note but the neighbours said that he remained depressed as he was ill for the last three months and unemployed due to it. Police reached the spot following the information and sent the body for post-mortem examinations after registering a case.
In another incident a 17-month-old baby who had drunk kerosene at her home in Barkheda Pathani area within the limits of Govindpura police station died of infection while undergoing treatment at Rainbow Hospital on Wednesday morning. According to police Manvi Verma, daughter of Yashwant Verma, resident of Barkheda Pathani died of infection while undergoing treatment at Rainbow Hospital on Wednesday morning. She drank kerosene at her home from the chimney five days ago. Her father is an employee of BHEL.
