Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Dumna Airport in Jabalpur is once again under high alert after it received a bomb threat on Monday evening from an unknown Outlook ID.
RDX 800 base fuses placed in the airport premises
According to reports, the airport management received an email which alleged four RDX 800 base fuses were placed in the airport premises, in connection with what the sender referred the 'Holy Moharram Blast'.
The email said that the explosives have been deliberately doped in small quantities so that the impact is limited but more people are affected.
Intensive search operation launched
Several suspicious names were also mentioned in this mail, including M. Gunasekaran, Jeeva Sagaptham Vaishyu, Sethil Vel, Minor, Nainika Kovan, Shivadas and Sumi Papa.
The airport management immediately informed the bomb squad, CISF and local police. After this, an intensive search operation was carried out inside and outside the airport premises till late night, but no explosive material was found.
The list of passengers was sought from all the airlines, but the names mentioned in the mail were not recorded in any list. An FIR has been registered against the unknown person in Khamaria police station and investigation is going on.
It is worth noting that on June 29, a similar threatening email was received at Dumna Airport, which was proved to be fake.
Information has also come to light that similar emails have been sent to 40 other airports in the country in recent times. Names like "Road Kill" and "Kyon" have been mentioned in such emails. At present, security agencies are on alert mode and the entire matter is being thoroughly investigated.
