BADNAWAR : Electricity crisis came to a head when a doctor had to stitch the wound of an injured person, who had suffered minor injuries in an accident, with the light of a torch here at the Community Health Center on Wednesday. The facility of twenty-four hours continuous electricity supply was announced by MLA Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat a few days ago. But no effective action in this regard has been taken, so far. Reportedly, there are two generators available in the hospital but they are useless due to shortage of funds to procure diesel. Patient Welfare Committee evidently seems to be incapable of providing diesel for these generators. Following the situation, CHC staff has to suffer due to lack of the facility as all the electrical appliances including fans, tube lights, bulbs and refrigerators stopped functioning.
