Govt purchases banned from Jan 15

BHOPAL: The state government has put total ban on government purchases after January 15, 2015 to prevent hasty government purchases and any possible error. As a result, powers for government purchases at various levels will remain superseded till the end of financial year 2014-15. This ban will also apply to materials purchased from LUN and public undertakings. The ban will also not apply to cases in which purchase orders have been issued with sanction of competent authority before January 15. The ban will also not be applicable to cases in which materials has to be purchased for hostels, ashrams, hospitals, jails, animal husbandry and purchase of necessary medicines and food grains for Anganwadis.
