BHOPAL: A 28-year-old woman trainee DSP at PTRI Bhauri has lodged a complaint against a government school teacher for stalking her. The Tikamgarh-based youth was following the trainee officer and sending obscene her messages on mobile phone.
The accused on Sunday reached PTRI, Bhauri and sent her a message saying that he was there to meet her. The trainee cop then informed FRV Dial 100 police after which the accused was nabbed from outside the PTRI gate. He was taken to Khajuri police station where a case under section 354 of the IPC was registered against him. He was later released on bail.
According to SHO Khajuri Upendra Bhati, the complainant hails from Jatara tehsil of Tikarmarh and she had cleared MP.PSC exam in the year 2017 and is currently a trainee DSP at Police Training Research Institute (PTRI) Bhauri. The accused, identified as Sandeep Richhariya of Tikamgrah who is presently posted as government teacher in Sonbhadra is known to her since 2011.
Both of them had studied in same college and later joined same coaching institute for civil services exam preparations.
Later, when she cleared the exam and was selected as DSP, she stopped all communications with the Richhariya. For past ten days, he had been sending her obscene messages on her whatsapp number and when she blocked his number, Richhariya started calling her from different mobile numbers but she continued ignoring him.
On Sunday, Richhariya reached PTRI institute and texted her that he was waiting for her outside the institute. He trainee officer informed FRV Dial 100 police after which the youth was nabbed from outside the gate of PTRI and was booked for harassing her.
