BHOPAL : Lashing out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Kashmir issue, the AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh said “PM Modi should also talk about the India-occupied Kashmir”.

He made the gaffe at Raja Bhoj airport while talking to media on Thursday morning.

When asked whether India is occupying Kashmir or is it an integral part of the country, the former chief minister realised his mistake and remarked that he was talking about Indian Kashmir, “which is integral part of our country”.

He also added that the PM is worried about PoK and Baluchistan but he should also take care of the sufferings of the people of Kashmir. “PM should restore  the faith of the Kashmiri people and this can be possible only through talks. But the PM’s speeches are only worsening the situation in Kashmir” Almost 32 days have passed and the situation in Kashmir is still grim. Since the death of  Hijbul commander Burhaan Wani, around 65 people have lost their lives and more than 5,000 have been injured, including force personnel, he said.
