BHOPAL: Habibganj police arrested four elderly persons and a 53-year-old man for their involvement in gambling in Arera colony on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.
The accused have been idenified as Kishore Shivani-53, owner of the house along with Satish Nagpal 71, Arvind 70, Anil Khattar 71 and Damin Ali 70.
According to police, the accused were caught using playing cards for gambling when the raid was carried out in the house at around 1:30 am.
Sub Inspector Nirbhay Singh said, “Rs 1.41 lakh were recovered from the possession of the accused. Whether they were involved in any such incident in the past is yet to be ascertained, said police.”
