BHOPAL: The Nazeerabad police on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday nabbed a man who was wearing the uniform of a forest guard and was extorting money from the locals by stopping their vehicles in the name of checking.
According to Nazeerabad police the accused was identified as Tej Singh, 35, son of Kanhaiya Lal, resident of Devalkhera within the limits of Berasia police station. He happened to accidentally stop the vehicle of the forest department in which officials were on night patrol duty. Later on the complaint of the forest Ranger Narayan Singh the accused was arrested by the police. It was informed that the accused was committing the offence of impersonating as a forest guard by wearing the uniform. Police following the complaint registered a case against Tej Singh under section 170 and 171 of the IPC and started investigations.
