BHOPAL: Minister of state (MoS) for technical education and skill development (independent charge), Deepak Joshi, in a conference at New Delhi on Wednesday, suggested that one industrial training institute (ITI), in collaboration with centre, state government and private partnership, should be opened in every block. Special planning for trade, training and planning, for cent-per cent visually impaired youths should be made.
Joshi was speaking at the ‘National Conference of State Ministers on Skilling with Quality’.
Union minister of state (MoS), for skill development and entrepreneurship (independent charge) Rajiv Pratap Rudi also addressed the conference.
Joshi in his address said a new policy for affiliation of private ITIs should be made.
The role of state governments in the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana should be clear. He said skill should be linked to loan. Those desirous of self-employment should be provided loan immediately after training. A mega skill centre would be set up in industrial area. He said an overseas placement agency should be established to provide job opportunities to the trainees in foreign countries and it should be linked to Madhya Pradesh Training and Placement Cell. Training programmes in special areas by doing survey of skill gap should be fixed. Joshi also mentioned the noticeable works done in the state. Principal Secretary, technical education, Kalpana Shrivastava was present on the occasion.
