Dewas : Taking no chance for any untoward incident at Nemawar fair on the occasion of Bhutdi Amawasya, the district administration has made elaborate arrangements for the safety and security of the devotees.
A fair will be organized on the bank of Narmada River at Nemawar where over 4 lakh devotees are expected to come during three day fair on March 19, 20 and 21 on the occasion of Bhutdi Amawasya on March 20.
Collector Ashutosh Awasthi convened a meeting of various officials and issued necessary instructions for smooth organization of the fair for convenience of the devotees.
Like every year, there will be ban on boating at all the 20 ghats and only motor boats will be deployed for security purpose only.
A constant and continuous contact will be ensured from officials of Tawa and Bargi Dam for exchange of information about release of water and adequate police force will be deployed at various locations to keep a strict vigil, SP Abhay Singh said.
Barricading will be done for the safety of the devotees at the every ghat where divers and life guards will remain present with life jackets and other required equipments.
For helping elderly and ailing people, doctors and paramedics will also be present at the fair venue with life saving medicines and ambulance.
