Bhopal: The internal feud within the BJP has come to fore with the filing of FIR in e-tender scam. Ex-minister Kusum Mehdele has claimed, in connection with FIR over tenders of department of public health engineering (PHE), that the tender did not belong to PHE. Mehdele putting ex-Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in picture alleged the tenders were issued by Jal Nigam and Chouhan, being CM was chairman of Jal Nigam.
Mehdele said PHE and rural development minister was the vice chairman in Jal Nigam and Chouhan gave administrative approval of tender and budget. According to sources Mehdele, after not getting ticket in assembly polls, is said to be highly annoyed with Chouhan. She has tried to settle scores through the issue of FIR in e-tender filed by Economic Offences Wing, (EOW), sources told Free Press.
Mehdele claimed she did not sign any file of Jal Nigam and all the activities were controlled by CM. Jal Nigam was constituted in 2012 and CM, being its chairman, had all powers. In the FIR filed, it is alleged that there were irregularities in three tenders of Rs 1800 crore in Jal Nigam.
