BHOPAL : Dengue has started taking over the city with two new patients testing positive, one of whom is in a critical state and is admitted in a private hospital of Bhopal.

Bhupendra Krishna was admitted to LBS hospital on July 31 and he is still in critical condition after his reports have been found to be positive.

The doctors at hospital informed that Krishna was brought when his platelets already started decreasing and since then they began the dengue treatment. “His first report did not confirm dengue but the symptoms were same as dengue because of which the test was delayed but the treatment for dengue was continuously given to him”, said Dr R.S. Bhatnagar, MD Medicine, LBS Hospital.

CMHO Dr Veena Sinha, said that the cases of dengue are comparatively very less. “We have been able to control dengue a lot. The danger is not over yet as it is still raining and mosquito breeding will begin as soon as the temperature changes”, she said. “We are continuously keeping track of all the patients admitted in all the government and private hospitals”, she added.
