RATLAM : Tough time is ahead for the district administration and the police during the festival days as after Ratlam incident and imposition of curfew on Wednesday tension erupted at Taal in Ratlam district which resulted in the demonstration and traders shutting down the shops.
After a mobile clipping VHP and Bajrang Dal workers came out on the street and demanded total ban on the purchase and sale of’ Gauwansh”. They also demanded arrests as per the clipping. Later police arrested some of the accused and registered case under the Animal Cruelty Act. Police had very tough time in Taal to bring back normalcy as rumors were spreading and shops were getting closed. ADM and ASP reached at Taal from Ratlam and monitored the situation. They were also submitted memorandum by VHP and Bajrang Dal workers.
Meanwhile in Ratlam city curfew continued in the sensitive areas from 9 PM to 6 AM and in the Manek Chowk and station road police station area the curfew is effective from midnight 12 to 5 in the morning. However Section 144 is effective in the whole city area. MP Dilip Singh Bhuria and Mayor Sheilendra Daga met the SP and demanded that the curfew should be lifted from the city in view of normalcy.
