BHOPAL: The Madhya Pradesh Samvida Karmachari Adhikari Mahasang celebrated Diwali prior to the festival when High Court commented that contractual employees should also get work and pay like permanent employees.
There are about 2.5 lakh contractual employees in different departments. MP Samvida Karmachari Adhikari Mahasang has been working to get contractual employees of state equal pay for equal work for which they filed a petition with the Jabalpur high court.
Ramesh Rathore, state president, MPSKAM, said, “The contractual employees should be treated on a par with permanent employees because they have been appointed by the government only. The hearing is almost in its last phase and we are very hopeful, that we will win”, he said.
