BHOPAL: The Congress party is not a political party, it’s a private firm of Gandhi- Nehru family, said BJP national president Amit Shah while addressing the political rallies in Songroli, Umaria and in Churhat, on Sunday. Shah hit out at the Congress for the “lack of democracy” within the party.
“Unlike the BJP, the Congress is a party without a neta (leader), neeti (policy) and siddhant (ideology). It has only one leader, who sits in Delhi,” said BJP chief. When there is no democracy in the Congress. How it will preserve democracy in the country, asked Shah. The commander of the party will always be family member of the Gandhi family, said the BJP president.
“Indira Gandhi had formed the Indira Congress after splitting from the Congress party and since then no other person was able to become the president of the party. But if someone became one they had to face humiliation from the family,” he added. Taking a swipe at the opposition party for failing to announce the name of its chief ministerial candidate, shah said:
(Congress chief) Rahul Gandhi, Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh are talking about the party forming government in Madhya Pradesh, but they have failed to decide on its leader.” Congress is having neither the leader nor the policy, but the BJP is contesting the election under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, said Shah. He claimed that in BJP anyone can become the president and also the Prime Minister, “Like a tea seller became the PM and person like me who used to fix posters had become the president”. “Congress is known for corruption not for development, the BJP is known for its development programmes,” said Shah.
‘Congress an ATM of False Promises’
BJP President Shah termed the Congress an “ATM” of false promises “Congress is ATM of false promises, if you put a question in Congress ATM it starts uttering false promises one by one and no solution to any problem emerges. And if you talk about BJP, if you pose a question, you will find the solution,” said Shah.
