Burhanpur : A meeting was held at the collectorate officer here on Tuesday wherein the collector Ashutosh Awasthi briefed the chief officials of all the departments about the issues that were brought to his notice at the ‘Jan-Sunwai’ and ordered them to solve the problems instantly.He also ordered the district transportation officer to organize a meeting with all the auto-rickshaw drivers and order them to carry only 5 kids in a school rickshaw.

The collector also ordered to inspect all the shops dealing in agro-products and the products should be tested via taking a sample. If the products are found to be of inappropriate standards, strict action should be taken. He further said that all the ‘Aanganwadi Centers’ should be provided with protein supplements and this job is assigned to the local policy officer and supervisor. If they are unable to perform their duties, strict action shall be taken against them.

In the meeting, the collector also said that two lakhs 20,000 plants should be planted in one day out of which one lakh 75 thousand plants are to be planted by the forest department, 15,000 by the schools and 30,000 on the private land. The district education officer was ordered to make sure that at least 5 Neem plants are planted in all the schools and universities and colleges.

He also asked the district education officer to submit the Praveshotsav report. With that, he also ordered the municipality to dismantle all the encroachments from the town as soon as possible.

The meeting was attended by upper collector Prakash Agrawal, Sureshwar Singh, CEO district panchayat and many other officials.
