Rs 16 crore to be spent on show
BHOPAL : Political leaders along with bureaucrats are working actively to arrange crowd for the rally to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Bhabra on August 9. Cooperatives commissioner, Manish Shrivastava is camping in Bhabra, though his department has nothing to do with the programme.
Modi during his Bhabra visit, will offer floral tribute at the birth place of Chandrashekhar Azad and address a gathering there. Preparations to arrange crowd for the rally through cooperative societies are being made.
Cooperatives minister Vishwas Sarang, who is in-charge of Alirajpur district, has been assigned the task of arranging crowd for the programme. Shrivastava has reached Bhabra to help Sarang in arranging crowd through cooperative societies. The state government is also making arrangements for Modi’s show. A proposal of expenditure of around Rs 16 crore has been prepared on Modi’s show.
Meanwhile, heavy rains at Bhabra are creating obstacles in setting up of tent and stage. Sources said the state government has apprised the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) with all the prevailing conditions but the latter has asked to carry on with the arrangements. The rains are coming in the way of observing norms of special protection guard (SPG) by district administration. Alirajpur collector Shekhar Verma said the district is witnessing heavy rains but we are continuously working as we have been instructed to make preparations for PM’s programme.
