BHOPAL: Bhopal experienced rain and thundershowers on Wednesday night. Besides, chilly winds swept through the city in the evening. However, temperature did not fall perceptibly as there was much moisture in atmosphere.

Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 25.4° C which was normal while it recorded a minimum temperature was 14.1° C, which was 3° C above normal. On Tuesday, the day temperature was 25.5° C and night temperature was 17.0° C. So the night temperature dropped by 3° C. Indore recorded minimum temperature of 20.6° C which was 5° C below normal while it recorded minimum temperature of 14.6° C which was 5° C above normal.
Gwalior recorded minimum temperature of 15.7° C which was 7° C below normal while it recorded minimum temperature of 12.4° C which was 5° C above normal. Jabalpur recorded minimum temperature of 26.9° C which was 2° C above normal while it recorded minimum temperature of 15.6° C which was 6° C above normal.
Rain coupled with hailstorm likely to hit various divisions like Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior- Chambal divisions in the next 24 hours. Jawra, Mandsaur, Garoth, Shivpuri recorded 4cm rainfall in the last 24 hours.Gwalior, Morena, Bhanpura, Suwasra recorded 3cm, Gohad, Mehgaon recorded 2cm.
According to meteorological department, there was upper air circulation over Western Madhya Pradesh, South- east Rajasthan, Gujarat.This system caused cloudiness over districts of western Madhya Pradesh including Bhopal. Evening humidity was 79 per cent.Wind in the presence of humidity ( moisture) infused much chilliness in the atmosphere.
