CBI books 587 in PMT 2012 fraud

BHOPAL : The Central Bureau of Investigation, on Friday, registered a FIR and a Preliminary Enquiry related to Vyapam cases The FIR has been against 587 accused persons including then Controller Pankaj Trivedi then Principal System Analyst Nitin Mahindra then Senior System Analyst CK Mishra, then Assistant Programmer Ajay Sen, Vyapam and then OSD to former Minister OP Shukla in connection with allegations of manipulation in allotment of roll numbers to facilitate cheating by the candidates appearing in PMT Examination 2012 as well as on allegations of alteration in OMR sheets. The preliminary Enquiry has been registered relating to death of Vikas Singh. This is to enquire whether the death was related to alleged Vyapam cases or otherwise. He was an alleged accused in 3 FIRs registered by Madhya Pradesh Police. He was said to be a racketeer and had died in Indore. It was said that he taken aspirin tablets after imbibing a large quantity of liquor and had of the reaction thereof.
