BHOPAL: Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Bhopal (MANIT) and School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal (SPA Bhopal) jointly organised Rahgiri Day at Boat Club on Sunday.
The day was based on nature and students pledged to conserve natural things like river, lakes and environment. Paintings and photography were also based on nature. Even morning walkers joined Rahgiri Day. Students performed Zumba dance and other activities in Rahgiri Day. Students enjoyed the music and dance.
“Photo-walk” was held on this occasion. Students of four colleges participated and displayed their creativities. Painting events was also held. Permission was taken from Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) for coverage of sun rise at Boat Club. Students sketched paintings related and based on boat club, nature, and other them and life of City of Lakes.
After a gap of long period, Rahgiri Day was observed at Boat Club. Earlier, it was used to be organised at Boat Club and Shahpura Lake. But gradually it was stopped. But students of SPA and MANIT organised it again after a long gap. With this Rahgiri Day, Boat Club regained its charm. Morning activities were almost died down with suspension of Rahgiri Day but Sunday was special for Boat Club visitors.
