Bhopal: Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report has revealed that 10-year-old girl who was found dead in a water tank in an under-construction building in Ratibad area around 3 months ago was sexually assaulted. The report said that she was alive when she thrown in water tank. According to Ratibad police, the deceased went missing under mysterious circumstances on March 7. Her family members searched for her everywhere, to no avail. Later in the evening her body was found floating in the water tank of an under-construction building.
In the initial investigation police assumed that she accidentally fell into the water tank and died of drowning and in the post-mortem report also nothing suspicious came to fore but later the FSL report of deceased revealed that she was sexually assaulted and then thrown alive in the water tank assuming her dead. Now a case under section 376 and 302 of the IPC and relevant sections of IPC against unidentified accused in girl’s death case has been registered and further investigation is on to nab the accused.
