Bhopal: Workshop on National Tribal Healers from Feb 19

Bhopal: The Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS), Bhopal will organise a workshop on National Tribal Healers on its premises from February 19 to 23. The representatives from Tribal Healers and Tribal Research Institute from different places in Country will participate in the workshop.

The people of the city can treat their old and complicated diseases with medicines made to herbs from all tribal healers. The steam bath of Kerala has special importance in the workshop. Steam room is made to take steam. The steam room closes around and there are small pores to steam it.

In this way, the patient is kept in that room for approximately 10 to 12 minutes to induce sweating. About 65 types of herbs are boiled in a special vessel in steam bath. The massage and steaming helps in opening of skin follicles and the excessive sweating help excrete toxins from our body. At the same time, making proper corrections in our diet and lifestyle creates our immune system, resulting in the recovery. This workshop is open from 11.00 am to 8:00 pm at Mandapam of the museum.
