Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Launching vitriolic attack on former chief minister Kamal Nath, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan asked former chief minister Kamal Nath that why did he stop Sambal Yojana.
He was addressing a public meeting in support of party candidates in Chhindwara and Itarsi on Saturday.
BJP made public welfare schemes and implemented them. In the last 15 years, every section of Madhya Pradesh benefited. He said Nath stopped all the welfare schemes. “All those whose names were deleted from this scheme will be added,” Chouhan added.
Speaking further, he said Machagora Dam was built by BJP government in Chhindwara at cost of Rs 1,600 crore. “Today, drinking water is being supplied from Machagora Dam,” he added.
He said that Congress government built medical college worth Rs 1,600 crores in Chhindwara. “But we are making it at the cost of Rs 750 crore. Congress always wasted public money. It was always their policy to sanction more money so that something may reach pockets of others through illegal ways. If this is Chhindwara model, then it is an insult to people of Chhindwara,” he added.
Kamal Nath had talked about giving scooty to school going daughters. As soon as the government was formed, the Congress even stopped giving cycles, which were given during the BJP government. “He cheated farmers in the name of loan waiver. He did not give up to Rs 2.5 lakhs to anyone. No unemployment allowance of Rs 4,000 was given to any youth,” Chouhan said.
