The move motivates people towards cleanliness

BHOPAL: Businessmen of Malviya Nagar market at Patrakar Bhavan has welcomed the “Mera Pran: Bhopal No-1” campaign in which BMC washes the markets at night.

But they have also demanded solutions to problems like parking and lack of garbage containers in the market.

Due to non availability of notified parking lots, visitors park their vehicles on the side of the road, making roads further congested. They have appreciated the BMC administration for launching campaign to maintain the sanitation and to motivate people for maintaining cleanliness of the city.

They support the idea and think that if market is washed at night, it does not disturb any one and the market looks neat in the morning. Secondly dust gets settled down which was a cause of problem for those allergic to dust.

 Raju Goswami

“Before washing the market, BMC should collect the garbage scattered here and there. There must be proper garbage containers in the market. We should also have our own containers so that visitors can dump the wrappers, garbage at a proper place.”

Ashok Sharma

“BMC administration has taken a good decision to wash the market in night. It helps the businessmen to maintain hygiene in the market. Secondly, visitors will also feel good when they come to the market. It will boost the market.”

Ramesh Maran

“Businessmen should reciprocate support in positive manner. They should come forward and cooperate with BMC administration. At night, BMC washes market and it does not disturbs any one.”

Abid Baig

“This campaign was the need of the hour and BMC has done it. People should cooperate with it. Washing the market in night is good. But simultaneously, BMC should also concentrate on other problems like parking facility. People just park anywhere they find place here.”

Shobham Rajput

“People should be motivated to join the BMC team to make the campaign successful. It is a good campaign for maintaining hygiene in the market. We have also hired personal sweepers to clean the market.”
