Bhopal: A vote-on-account of Rs 89,000 crore, to meet the expenses of four months in the state was passed in the House on Wednesday. Finance Minister Tarun Bhanot presented the vote-on-account for expenses between April and July. As per estimation of vote-on-account, the next budget of the state would be of 2.23 lakh crore.

In vote-on-account, agriculture department has been allotted around Rs 6,000 crore. The government needs a huge amount for farm loan waiver. From the fund allocated for agriculture from vote-on-account, it is clear that farm loan waiving may be difficult with code of conduct for Lok Sabha polls coming into effect.
