Neemuch: Chief Municipality officer (CMO) and health officer Vishwas Sharma here on Saturday informed that the first instalment towards building toilets in houses has already been deposited in the bank accounts of the villagers applied for the same.

He further alerted the recipients of the funds to begin construction of the toilets in their homes at the earliest and submit picture of the same to the municipality once they are done so that the next instalment can be transferred.

“People, who are yet to start construction of toilets even after receiving the amount, have to face serious consequences like cutting of water connections,” he warned, adding that already 10 applicants have been punished for not building toilets in their homes even after receiving the funds.

CMO also asked the villagers, who did not have toilets in their houses, to file application to the municipality to receive funds for construction of toilets in their houses.
