Bhopal: Vikram University removed emergency imposed in the Vikram University

Bhopal: The state government have imposed section 52 in the Vikram University Ujjain here on Friday. Earlier the governor had asked the resignation from the vice chancellor SS Pandey which was accepted by the governor. According to sources allegations of financial irregularities has marred the tenure of VC and university administration.

Allegation of Rs 1.5 crore scam in procurement of library material has also come to fore. The state government had obtained the report and material regarding the mismanagement going in the university. The government is satisfied that a situation had arisen in which the administration of university cannot be carried out in accordance which the provision of MP Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam 1973. The government exercising the powers had imposed the section 52 in the university. The government will appoint a new VC in the university.
