Bhopal: Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS), Bhopal is all set to organise exhibitions, lecture, cultural performance craft fair and food festival at its premises from March 8 to10 to mark its 43rd foundation day.
The museum will celebrate the foundation day with various events on a state as theme. This year all north-east is the theme state. A special exhibition ‘Glimpses of cultural heritage of North-East’ will be inaugurated at Veethi Sankul, IGRMS and artists, resource persons, retired museum personnel will also be honoured.
Country’s largest lamp with 1001 wicks ‘Aal-Vilakku’ will be lighted. Later traditional artistes from North-East will give arts presentation at Veethi Sankul, an open air auditorium.
The other major attractions of the three-day festival are as follows – exhibitions, annual lecture, seminar, cultural performance, craft fair and food festival.
