BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd, under ‘Ujala Yojana’, has slashed the prices of LED bulbs from Rs 80 per piece to Rs 65. The reduction in prices will create interest in public to buy and use LED bulbs. Earlier, around 90 lakh LED bulbs, of 9 watts, were sold resulting in saving of 45 lakh units of electricity on daily basis. It also saved Rs 2.70 crores of the customers on daily basis.
The bulbs will be available at Nigam’s district offices, post offices, Akshay Urja shops, electricity distribution centres, ration shops and Haat bazaars.
