Bhopal: Umashankar Gupta lays foundation of skating ring

BHOPAL: Minister for revenue, science and technology, Umashankar Gupta, performed ‘Bhumi-pujan’ of a skating ring in Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Park, near Link Road -3. A fund of Rs 1.58 has been given administrative sanction. The skating ring would be 237 metres long and 6 metres broad. A skating court having length of 188 metres and breadth of 23.25 metres will also be built, besides pavilion for spectators’ gallery. A mountain cycle trek having 4.5 kilometres length, paver blocks, bench and lawn for visitors will also be developed here.

Gupta said skating ring would be a boon for city people. There should be play ground in every area. He also felicitated students who performed extraordinary in skating competition. Anshit Bhatnagar, Saransh Tripathi, Komaldeep Kaur, Shikha Nayar, Amritpal Singh, Divyansh Kumar, Tanmay Sinha, Vartika Tyagi, Vidhyut Mishra, Suryansh Gupta, Pushpendra Singh, Albaksha, Shankh Goyal, Akshay Sharma, Gautam Sharma, Parva Maheshwari, Aditya Khare, Arsha Dutta, Ajanmeya Shrivastava, Rudraksha Dubey, Rishabh Nema, Sarthak Jain, Aryan, Krish Shivhare, Jahanvi, Akshat and Bharat Anand were felicitated by the minister.
