Bhopal Typing Scam: Three accused arrested, released on bail

BHOPAL: Three typing scam accused were formally arrested and released on bail on Friday. The trio is among 3,000 accused who allegedly cleared the steno /typing exam conducted in 2013.

ASI Bharti Tiwari posted in PHQ, Viresh Sharan and Seikh Ibrahana posted in the district court, appeared at the Special Task Force office and furnished their bail papers. They had procured anticipatory bail from the court.

The STF had registered a case in the steno/typing scam that came to fore in 2013. It was alleged that around 4,000 candidates had used unfair means to pass the exam.

The Lok Shikshan Sanchanalaya (Directorate of Public Instructions) had conducted the typing and shorthand test in 2013.

The STF booked 3,000 unnamed candidates out of which 54 candidates were named in the case.

Since the irregularity came to fore, named accused have been evading the police. The trio had procured bail from the court before appearing before the STF.
