Bhopal: As the countdown for the poll results ended, people on Thursday as early as early as 7 am were seen gathering at tea stalls discussing what lies ahead. As they sipped their morning cuppa, the people were seen analyzing and assessing whether predictions made in the exit polls could be translated into reality. College students and coaching goers residing in Zone 2 of MP Nagar had only one topic to discuss whether it would be ‘TsuNAMO’. Later in the day the people remained glued to their television sets and mobile phones witnessing BJP inching towards a super-sized victory.

While the contest between Pragya Thakur and Digvijaya Singh caught the maximum eyeballs, the people were equally interested in neck and neck fight between Congress President Rahul Gandhi and BJP leader Smriti Irani. Role of Priyanka Gandhi in the elections was also the topic of discussion in colleges and offices. Thrilled over the historic win of the BJP, party supports distributed sweets to their colleagues and friends. In Hathikhana and Itwara area, sure of BJP victory, its supporters had already planned a huge celebrations and were ready with sweets and firecrackers. Sanjeev Gupta corproator in the area said the party workers toiled hard and ensured huge victory in every ward and did not let defeat in Assembly elections discourage them.In Mangalwara Talking to Free Press, the traders said that while voting for Bhopal candidate Pragya Singh Thakur, people had only Modi in mind. It is nothing but Namo Tsunami, said Naresh Singh a tailor.

At Raju tea stall, a number of visitors kept glued to the TV set watching poll results. They expressed their shock over the seeing prominent faces like Rahul Gandhi, Digvijaya Singh and Jyotiraditya Scindia trailing. Some of the traders at old Bhopal area had pulled down their shutters and area wore a deserted look throughout the morning hours. The people in Peergate and Shahjahanabad who have sent Congress MLAs to the Assembly were not very pleased with the trends going in favour of BJP.
